Webelos Summer Camp

Camp John J. Barnhardt offers an exciting Webelos resident camp for rising 4th and 5th graders every summer. All activities are run by the same staff that run camp for the four weeks of Scout camp but modified to fit Cub Scout programing and the needs of younger campers. All camp staff complete an additional 8 hours of training (on top of the 28 hours for Scout camp) to be eligible to work at Webelos Camp.

During Webelos camp, all participants will earn two Webelos and Arrow of Light adventure badges. They'll also visit the tower to climb, get to play in the pool, take out canoes, use the BB range, do crafts, and shoot archery. All activities at our Webelos camp are done with their unit (instead of signing up for individual badges like Scouts, BSA do); the entire group from your Pack will visit each area together. This means they will be with a leader from your unit at all times!

In addition there will be campfires, sports competitions, games based on the annual theme, and loads of fun. During the camp there will be opportunities for the boys to show their Scout spirit and work together as Patrols.

Registration includes a patch, 2 t-shirts, and all meals. Breakfast and dinner are served in the air conditioned dining hall while lunch is delivered to the campsites to allow campers time to rest in the middle of the day. Canvas wall tents are provided as are cots. Per Scouting policy, if the Pack does not have 2 adults attending (and 1 additional adult for every 5 scouts over 10), we will merge your unit with another small group for the duration of the camp.

We hope your Pack will join us for Webelos camp this summer!
